L’oreal Volume Million Lashes Excess Mascara Black Review

02/10/2012 · beauty · 0

L’oreal Volume Million Lashes Excess Mascara Black £10.99

I have spoken before about my love for the L’oreal Volume Million Lashes mascaras and so when I saw the new addition to the family was a. called Excess and b. in fancy red packaging I was already sold! Why Excess? Well L’oreal claim that this brush is very cleverly deigned to avoid clumpy lashes (as you know they are my pet hate!) They say that the mascara wand has an “in-built wiper system which removes excess mascara, wiping the brush free of clumps!” which sounds great…in theory. I liked the smell of this mascara which sounds bizarre but it has a really fresh scent which was a pleasant surprise.

The wand itself looked a bit unusual with it slanting to the side and I did wonder if that would affect the application, but I found it was really easy to build up the lashes and get those tricky corner ones too. I wanted to see how it would fare with 2 coats and that’s where I noticed it did clump slightly, not enough to put me off and definitely not noticeable if you like a slightly fuller lash look, but something that I knew I should mention as it is marketed as the non clumping mascara! As for the finish, well I absolutely loved the results!

My lashes were very noticeable and I really felt they gave me a ‘false lash’ glamorous look which was exactly what I was hoping for. I would recommend this mascara if your looking for one that builds up lashes for a dramatic evening look, but I wouldn’t say it is ‘clump proof’.

What do you think of this mascara?
