This week I have been trying out some new mascaras that promise big, bold, beautiful lashes!!
I do love a good volumizing mascara. Personally I am not a fan of fake lashes, I am just too lazy and too worried they will end up half way down my face before I notice something isn’t right!
First up on my list is Collection 2000’s Supersize Mascara. The packaging is really nice and the bright pink, with bold writing is definitely eye catching! The brush, although not quite as thick as the L’oreal volumizing brushes, is still a nice size and I did notice the product wasn’t all ‘wet’ on the brush which is a pet peeve of mine (I find this is a good indication of a mascara smudging and not applying well!)
Upon application I did notice that it might be a tad too dry and found it quite hard to build up my lashes to get a ‘supersized’ effect. This wouldn’t bother me in a normal mascara, but this is the whole point of this particular one and as such I was quite disappointed with it.
In order to avoid clumpy looking lashes I didn’t continue building up the mascara and was left with quite average looking lashes. I would say that the cost of this (£2.99) has clearly affected the quality of the product and it just doesn’t give that supersized look.

I think you can see what I mean about the lack of ‘supersized’ lashes. It isn’t the worst Mascara I have ever tried but too be honest it is one of them :S

that doesn’t look very good mascara 🙁
my favourite mascara atm is the bourjois voluminizer. it isn’t very for maybe the first week, but after some of the ‘wetness’ has gone, it gives amazing lashes 🙂

I should really try out some cheaper options where mascara is concerned. All of mine are £8+! xo
