I recently started a BBloggers group on Facebook to share blog posts and meet other like minded bloggers (check it out here!), through this I met Sophia from Beauty In My Mind and she asked if I would be interested in her doing a guest post on my blog. I loved the idea and she has reviewed the cult classic Clinique Dramatically Different Moisturzier for all of you. Here is her post, enjoy and make sure you comment to let us know what you think!
Hi I’m Sophia, a 20 something Beauty Blogger living in the UK. I have a big love for makeup, skin care, fashion and lots more! When I’m not at work, I love to write reviews about my favourite make up/skin care products. I also tend to write general ramblings about life from time to time, featured all on my blog:Beauty In My Mind!
I like Charlotte’s style of writing which is why I asked if I could write on her blog, and I was really happy she said yes! She too writes her honest opinion about products she uses which is a commonality we both share. I love letting others read my writing so I hope you enjoy my post and find it useful!
Clinique Dramatically Different Moisturizing Lotion Review
I purchased Clinique’s Dramatically Different Moisturizing Lotion a little while ago, but it had disappeared amongst my growing collection of skin creams and lotions. It wasn’t until recently whilst doing a tidy up (that, and my skin had become incredibly dry during the winter months) I found it again and rekindled my love for Clinique!
Clinique is renowned for their fragrance free, allergy tested products and this moisturizing lotion is true to the brand. Clinique’s Dramatically Different Moisturizing Lotion is indeed scentless and it did not irritate my ‘sometimes sensitive’ skin!
I have the 125ml bottle (no pump) and as you can see I opted for the lotion rather than the gel as this is more suitable for my combination skin. On the packaging it does also say that the skin types it’s more suitable for is ‘Very Dry to Dry, 2 – Dry Combination’. The Dramatically Different Moisturizing Lotion comes as part of Clinique’s 3-Step Skincare Range.
The bottle itself is a simple plastic bottle with a screw cap. Since mine came without a pump I have a little spatula which I use to scoop out the lotion. I normally spread the lotion on the back of my hand before using my fingers to massage into my face.
The texture is quite light, but hydrating and I have incorporated this into my recent skin care routine and use it in the morning and at night! Since using it again I have found a significant difference to my skin and the unattractive dry patches which I developed are now improving daily (yay!).
At £28 per bottle this moisturizing lotion would definitely be considered expensive in some opinions. However you only have to apply a small amount each time to really feel the hydrating effects on your skin, so 125ml can actually last you a long time! I have been using it properly since the New Year and as you can see, it looks like I’ve hardly used any when in actual fact I’m using this twice a day!
I definitely recommend this lotion if you’re looking more at the long term and investing in a good quality moisturiser. I feel like you do get your moneys worth in the end as you do not have to repurchase as often. Also if you are looking to purchase and wanted a bottle with a pump, make sure you double check in store! I assumed they all came with a pump, but I opened mine up at home and realised there was none!
Has anyone had experiences with this moisturizer? What are your thoughts?
