L’oreal Lumi Magique Foundation Review

28/02/2012 · beauty · 0

Hi Girlies!!
I have had such a lovely day today, I went shopping with my Mum to help her pick up some bits for her and my dads holiday in a few weeks (they are going on a Caribbean cruise…I could NOT be more jealous!!). We went to Westfield Shopping Centre in Stratford because it is just 50 minutes by train from us in Canterbury and has EVERYthing you could want under one roof. I actually bought loads of bits and pieces so will follow this post with a haul post but just wanted to review the L’oreal Lumi Magique Foundation which I picked up in Superdrug….

Overall Score: 4/5
Ease of application: 5/5
Coverage: 3/5
Price: £10.99

I really liked this foundation. I picked the Rose Beige colour which is the 3rd lightest, I think it gives a nice golden look for pale skin without being orange toned. I loved the feeling of the foundation it felt really fresh on and blended in beautifully, I did however find it was a little light on coverage and I could still see blemishes through it, but not too much.

I would wear this foundation on a night out because I got a few comments after applying it about how my skin looked ‘glowing’ so for that it really does live up to the Lumi Magique name!! I have to admit when I took pictures I was shocked at how flawless my skin looked so I went and had a look in my big mirror and was taken aback!! It really does give a beautiful luminous look and I would definitely recommend it for the evening!! Here are some pics of me wearing it!!

What do you think of the foundation? Sorry about the lack of other makeup/hair styling I just wanted to show you it without anything detracting for the effect on the skin!

Have you tried Lumi Magique?

What did you think? Let me know!

Charlotte
xx

I probably will try this one next time I am gonna try out a new foundation, but unfortunatly I have already 4-5 foundations and I use of them perhaps once each week (my skin is clear enough to just use some concealer, so I prefer to stay away using foundation for daily basics :P) so I think I will wait until after summer. :/ Foundation is something I wouldn’t collect too many of, because I can just use them between 1 year or 2 (have to toss out several half full foundations before… -___-‘). So like another comment said, I am also on spending ban. xD (but just base makeup in my case).

But I think this one will the 5th or 6th foundation in a few month. X’D I don’t have any light coverage dewy foundations.
Now I use Loreal True Match or Matte morphose which are a slightly drying for my skintype (still love them though, this isssue isn’t too bad since I can always mix them with moisturizer :P) and Couleurs Nature Serum foundation which is too dark. -_-#

You know I actually did that I bought the Chanel VITALUMIÈRE Satin Smoothing Fluid Makeup and I wasn’t impressed. I found it much to light in coverage and it didn’t layer well…I might do a comparison post between the 2 of them! You should def give the L’oreal one a try it is really lovely and I get comments on how nice my skin looks everytime I wear it! xx

I have bought it today (had some money and time) and picked up Rose Porcelaine (C2).
Some minutes ago, I applied it for the first time and it feels amazing! Small mistakes are covered up and those bigger ones seem to become smaller and much more natural, so it looks (and feels) like there is just a small amount of make up, if any at all. It does its job!
It dried fast enough and my skin doesn’t feel oily or something. I actually think I have just fallen in love!
