CANTERBURY BEAUTY / LIFESTYLE / TRAVEL

Shopping Haul

16/11/2013 · beauty · 0

Hello lovelies!
I went up to London to visit a friend of mine, she is the ultimate Christmassy person and always puts me in a festive mood! We met for lunch in Selfridges and then did a bit of shopping and had a nosy around the Christmas department (SO overpriced!) I picked up a few NARS foundation pumps as I keep getting in a mess with the pour bottles, I also managed to get a radiant creamy concealer in vanilla which I can’t wait to trial. After I left Louise I met my Dad from work to travel home together. I popped down to the candle section and was drawn to the Diptyque candles, I am a massive fan of Violette so treated myself to the big version and my Dad very sweetly got me a mini jasmine one and my mum a mini patchouli one (which smells amazing!).
I made him wait outside whilst I ran into Primark, growing up in London I should know better than to visit the Marble Arch store on a Saturday evening- it was hell! I managed to shove my way through to get a few essentials as we don’t have a Primark in Canterbury (although we are getting one next year!) I picked up some cosy tights which I’ve heard a lot about but never tried, some of the £4 slipper shoes which are so comfortable and smart I wear them all the time. I also spotted these ankle boots, I actually had the shoe boot version of these a few years ago and they were so lovely but I wore them to death so I was really pleased to see an ankle boot- much more practical for winter.
The only clothing item I got was this dove grey teddy bear cardigan. It is soooo soft and cosy and has this sequins in it so it’s all sparkly I think I will wear this one Christmas Day with a black smock dress (nice and loose for lots of Christmas dinner!)  I saw the red pyjama set and swiped it straight away- these are going to be my Christmas Eve pj’s!  I also got the love script leggings- a bit garish but I really liked the grey and black design with a pink ribbon tie waist detailing. The last few bit’s of makeup are pretty self explanatory, let me know if there is anything here you’d like to see a review of!
So yeah I am pretty shopped out- I didn’t think I got a lot but when you put it all into a post you soon get a shock! What have you been buying recently?

Ooh I am so jealous of the candles! I am renting at the moment so can’t like candles for fear of ruining the walls!

You live in Canterbury? Wow! I live in Whitstable! Isn’t that a coincidence, haha! I’m really looking forward to getting a primark next year but it’ll be a shame so see BHS go… It is a pain to go to the one at Westwood aswell, there’s too many trains and busses to get and it just takes hours!
